This is the moment our staff has been waiting for…it’s Fall Kick Off!! We are so excited to invite you to Midcurrent this Sunday for the official launch of our fall season of ministry. Our services are still at 9:00am and 10:30am, but you’ll want to arrive a few minutes early to snap some family photos, build your own fall snack mix, get your kids’ face painted and more! We’ll also be kicking off a brand new four-week message series called Begin Again. We’ll study some of the major themes of the book of Deuteronomy in order to learn more about how we claim the promises God has made to us and step into more of the life He has called us to.
As we officially shift toward the fall season at Midcurrent, there are two things in particular I want to highlight for you today.
1. MC Connections: This three-week, small group-like environment is STEP #1toward faith filled friendships at Midcurrent. And it’s for our whole church too–not just those of you who are new! Each week, you’ll be guided through simple yet meaningful conversations that will help you get to know and encourage others more. MC Connections begins September 25th. Childcare is available. 2. MC KIDS: We have been anxious to share a pretty exciting update with you. This fall, we will begin a search for a full time director of MC KIDS. We first have to say a massive thanks to Carley Maley who stepped in to be a long-term interim director. And with her current season of life and family, current trends in attendance, as well as our aspirations for even greater ministry to kids and families, it was clear to all of us that this is the time begin the next phase of growth and investment into our entire MC KIDS ministry. Carley is so excited for the future of MC KIDS and looks forward to not only passing the baton, but also setting up the next leader for success. We’ll post the job description soon, begin collecting applications, and hope to fill the position before the end of the of year. Do we know who will emerge as a the right candidate?? No, we don’t. But here’s what we do know. MC KIDS has always been, and will continue to be the most fun, safe, and caring place for kids to learn about Jesus. If you are the right person, or know the right person for the job, keep an eye out for a job description and application that will be available very soon!
