Hey Midcurrent,
As a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, I spend a lot of time watching the MLB standings every year to see how the Cubs are stacking up. Every baseball fan longs for their team to make it to the postseason–they call it “October Baseball.” Most of the advertising for the postseason this year reads,
“There’s no time like October.” Well, the Cubs made a very short (and disappointing) appearance in the postseason this year. Nonetheless, I am still incredibly excited for the month of October because it marks the time of year that Midcurrent Church opened its doors for the very first time in 2017.
Nine years ago, at Camp St. Croix just south of town, we held our very first public worship service, and we haven’t looked back since. It’s actually quite stunning and incredibly uplifting to step back and look at all that God has done in the past nine years. This Sunday will be our chance to thank God for all of it, and we’d love to have you be a part of the celebration.
There’s also no better way to celebrate the work of God than through baptism. This Sunday, men and women from Midcurrent will be going public with their faith in Jesus in what is always one of the most inspiring worship experiences of the year. If you call Midcurrent home, I’d love for you to join us as we celebrate along with those who are taking the next step of faith.
And if you have said yes to Jesus but have never gone public with your faith through baptism, it’s not too late to take that step this Sunday at Midcurrent. To learn more, and to register, click THIS LINK.
Have a great rest of the week. Hope to see you Sunday. We’ll save you a seat!
