I don’t know if there was something in the water, if it was the fact that both the Packers and the Vikings played at noon, or if you were just responding to my email last week about the balance of our three worship services, but we had more people at the 8:00am service than we have ever had in the short history of our three-service schedule. In fact, all three services were incredibly even, and I gotta say, it was pretty awesome! There was a great sense of community and an engaging worship experience at 8:00, 9:30 AND 11:00, and best of all, there was room for more at each one! So let me just say THANK YOU to those of you who adjusted your morning schedule to help us be as missional and hospitable as we can.
While I’ve got you in the habit of responding to the things I write in this email, let me share with you a handful of upcoming opportunities for you to take a next step in your relationship with Jesus, with our church, or with others who call Midcurrent home.
Meeting Midcurrent: If you are new to Midcurrent, this is for you! On Tuesday, October 6th, I’ll host a relaxed and informal conversation where I’ll share about our mission and vision and everything else that makes Midcurrent tick. You can learn more and register HERE.
Baptism: On October 11, we’ll be celebrating NINE YEARS of Midcurrent Church, and there is no better way to celebrate what God has done in the those nine years than by witnessing people going public with their faith through baptism. Image of God: Some of the most significant environments we have created in recent years have been our large-group discipleship intensives, and we’re hosting another one this fall. It’s called the Image of God. This is an 8-week group discipleship experience that unveils the beautiful and biblical understanding of human life, dignity, and worth– all rooted in God’s original design for His people. It will be held on Tuesday nights beginning October 13. Details and registration can be found HERE.
