We have said from Day 1 that we believe youth today are leaders in the world tomorrow. And so we want to do everything we can to invest into the next generation of leaders. That doesn’t apply only to students who attend Midcurrent, but to every student in the very community that we call home. That is precisely why we have opened the doors of Midcurrent to host one of three Courage Retreats that an organization called Youth Frontiers is running in the Hudson School District this spring.
On April 2, every 7th grade student in the district will attend a Courage Retreat designed to inspire students to use courage to do the right thing, and to make responsible decisions, despite their fears. Students will be lead through engaging community-building activities designed to break down social barriers and help foster stronger relationships among students.
I have been told the power of these retreats is palpable and contagious, and we are excited to partner with Youth Frontiers and the Hudson School District to invest into these 7th grade students.
And if you are interested in personally investing into the life of a future leader, the district is looking for adult small group leaders on April 2 from 8:15am-2:30pm. You can fill out an interest from with the district by CLICKING THIS LINK.
Hope you are enjoying the warm spring weather if you’re here in western Wisconsin. See you Sunday for Week 2 of Enemies of the Heart.
