We have fully and officially turned the page on 2023. But I still feel compelled to take a moment to pause and to reflect on the year behind us. It was an amazing year full of growth, life change, friendship, connection, community, generosity and so much more. As I reflect on all of it, I just want to express my thanks to all of you who played a vital part in it. It truly is amazing and inspiring to see what we can accomplish together, in the name of Jesus.
Part of closing out the last year is sending out 2023 giving statements to those of you who generously contributed to God’s work here at Midcurrent. All 2023 statements have been sent out this week via email or regular mail. If you have not received your giving statement in the next few days, you can access a digital copy online by visiting midcurrent.churchcenter.com. Simply Login, and then click your initials in the upper right hand corner. Click on My Giving, followed by Giving Statements, then click the arrow to the right of your 2023 statement to download it for your own tax purposes. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your incredible support of all that God is doing here. I think the best is yet to come and that we will have many more opportunities to create spaces where real people and a real God will meet in powerful ways.
One of the most perfect places for real people and a real God to meet is at a course we are hosting called Alpha. Starting Thursday, January 11, we’re going on an 11 week journey to explore some of the biggest questions about life, faith, and meaning. And it’s a not too late to sign up. CLICK HERE to learn more and to begin your Alpha adventure!
Finally, if you’re anything like me, you’d really like to decrease the amount of time you spend scrolling on social media. If that’s the case, I’d really love to have you join us for Week 2 in our January series, Cut It Out, where we’ll discuss what God’s Word might have to say about all the time we spend online. What does God think about it? Does he even say anything about it?? Great questions… come find out more on Sunday!
