You ever have a week when you just feel kind of…blaah?? That’s how I’ve been feeling this week. The temperatures dropped significantly from a couple weeks ago. The sun hasn’t shown its face in what feels like forever. Snowflakes were even flying a day ago! And on top of that, there is, once again, intense unrest in our country stemming from events happening right across the river from us.
Erica and I began this week praying for sunshine. Our prayers have quickly shifted into prayers for our nation and more specifically for the communities in the greater Twin Cities. I don’t pretend to understand the experiences of every party involved, as well as the communities they represent. But I am praying for each and every one of them. I am praying for grace and for truth. I am praying for people who are hurting. And I am praying for people who are tired, burdened, and feeling completely exhausted and overwhelmed.
I hope you would take some time this week (if you have not already) to join me in praying these very prayers.
I don’t quite know how each of you are responding to all of this. But if I had to guess, I would guess that, for some of you, this only adds to the question that you have asked many times before…one that countless others have asked as well. And that question is this: Why is there pain and suffering in this world? That’s the question I want to address in the next week of our series; I Have A Question.
I hope you’ll plan to be a part of it.
